Michael A. Smith, M.D. is Director of the Ultrasound Service at Washington Hospital Center where he has been on the Staff since 1993. Dr. Smith is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and completed Fellowship training at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Dr. Smith was on the faculty at University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill before joining Washington Hospital Center. He gives generously of his time in education at Montgomery College's School of Ultrasound and he offers a board review preparation course for Howard University’s Radiology residents.
Richard S. Young, M.D. is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology with clinical, administrative and teaching experience in private practice and at U.S. Army tertiary care facilities in Europe and Texas. Dr. Young has been on the medical staff of Washington Hospital since 2001. Dr. Young is skilled in general diagnostic radiology, ultrasound, CT and MRI.
Center Radiology, P.C.'s Leadership
James S. Jelinek, M.D. has been Chairman of Radiology and President of Center Radiology since its inception in 1999. Dr. Jelinek is a Fellow in the American College of Radiology, a reviewer for the American Journal of Roentgenology and serves on the Executive Committee of the District of Columbia Metropolitan Radiology Society and is a past Chairman of that Society. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and did his internship, residency and MRI fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
James David McFadden, M.D. is certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology. He received his medical degree from George Washington University and did his internship and residency there. Dr. McFadden completed a body imaging fellowship at University of California, Santa Barbara.
